We are very aware that we cannot teach children alone and we need to work as a team with parents to achieve the very best outcomes for our children.
At St Matthew's we want to work closely with parents. Parents and families are always welcome in school and we have a loyal and very hardworking PTFA. As parents you are very welcome to discuss your child or wider school issues at any time and we welcome feedback.
The governors conduct an annual survey of parents to enable the school to analyse how this partnership with parents is working and any changes we need to make. The results of the latest survey is below. As a result of the latest comments from parents we have changed out homework policy to make it more appropriate for the new curriculum and families.
We are concerned that parents are unsure of the steps we take to deal witih bullying. We have been working hard to address this. Please see our new Anti-Bullying Policy and our Positive Learning Policy on the appropriate page of this website and the schools's recent SIAS inspection report.
During Circle Time Worship and lessons on safeguarding, the children learn about appropriate behaviour and what to do if they are upset or uncomfortable about the behaviour of others.
