A Patriotic Breakfast Choir
Today is 75 years since VE Day which stands for Victory in Europe Day. This was the day Britain and her allies celebrated winning the war against Nazi Germany and their allies. So we though we would bring you some songs that were very popular during World War Two.
First though, we'd like to share this lovely song that is written and performed by another school especially for the lock down. It is beautiful and uplifting.

These next songs are performed by Vera Lynn. She was one of the 'popstars' of the world war and was very popular. In 2000, she was voted the person who most reflected the values of the 20th Century.
This first one was called 'White Cliffs of Dover' and gave everyone a bit of hope that they would win the war.

The next song is called, 'We'll meet again', and it reminded families who weren't together that they would see each other again.

There are two videos for this next song which is called, 'There'll always be an England'. The second one has lyrics so you can sing along, but the first one has pictures of people celebrating VE Day in 1945.
