An Adlam visit
On Thursday 21st May Years 5 and 6 received another visit from Clive and Hazel Adlam who are the son and granddaughter of Tom Adlam - a previous head teacher of the school.
We were thrilled to see them again and enjoyed hearing som more stories about what it was like growing up in Blackmoor, particularly during the second world war. It was particularly interesting to hear about bombing raids and an unexploded bomb which went off in the middle of the night after everyone had been to view it during the day!
Hazel very kindly presented us with a beautiful picture of the war memorial and the church in the background which she had painted herself. Over half term we hope to hang it in the reception area so do come and see it.
