Year 5/6 Handball @ Eggars 25/3/25
On March 25th, St. Matthews School took part in an exhilarating handball tournament featuring four other competitive teams. The event was a remarkable display of teamwork, collaboration, and sportsmanship.
The tournament format was unique and engaging, with the girls playing the first halves of the matches and the boys taking over for the second halves. This structure not only highlighted the versatility and skill of all players but also fostered a strong sense of unity and cooperation amongst the teams.
From the very first whistle, the St. Matthews girls demonstrated exceptional coordination and strategic play, setting a solid foundation for their teams. Their determination and skill were evident as they manoeuvred through tough defences and executed precise passes. The boys then took the baton, continuing the momentum with their energetic and dynamic gameplay.
Throughout the tournament, the St. Matthews teams exhibited outstanding team spirit. Players encouraged each other, celebrated successes together, and supported one another through challenges. This camaraderie was a testament to the school's emphasis on fostering a positive and inclusive sports environment. If you would like to see photos, click here.
