Baby chick hatches in Sycamore Class.
We welcomed a new chick into Sycamore Class this morning!
As you may know, Sycamore have been watching the progress of 7 eggs which were placed in an incubator 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, we knew last week that 4 of the 7 eggs had not developed and we removed them. However, to our delight, we came into school this morning to find one of the eggs had hatched. The chick looks healthy and is cheeping lots, which is a great sign that it is well. It has lots of black feathers with a few yellow patches. The class have decided to call it 'Dorito'. There are now two eggs left in the incubator. We have our fingers crossed that they will hatch over the next couple of days.
