Today there was a little bit of a different routine at St. Matthew's. First thing this morning we had to get an expert electician to come and check our wiring.
Come to our book fair on Thursday 10th, Friday 11th and Monday 14th March at 3.15pm.
On Friday 26th February, St. Matthew's School celebrated Safeguarding Day.
This afternoon GB Triple Jumper Kola Adedoyin visited us at St Matthew's!
We’re very excited to be welcoming GB Triple Jumper Kola Adedoyin to St Matthew’s on Wednesday 24th February.

A group of children, parents, governors and staff have taken part in the first of two workshops to improve the use of the school grounds.
We are delighted to tell you that our school has been judged outstanding in a recent church inspection. We were judged on the quality and effectiveness of our teaching and learning, leadership and management, collective worship and the Christian distinctiveness of the school. The school achieved the outstanding judgement in all four areas.

More than 800 paper poppies were scattered along the corridors of the school this morning before a special worship to mark Armistice Day. The children reflected on the strength of friendship and how people could give up their lives for others. Year 6 will also be marking the day at Blackmoor War Memorial with Dom.
