Children in Year One completed their Phonics Screening check this week.
Children in the St Matthew's Breakfast Choir have won the regional Inter Schools Choir Competition.
Children have been enjoying RE week, studying aspects of the bible.
The week has included artwork, diary entries, drama and singing. Year 6 used the woods around the school to create biblical pictures. The class have been exploring religious icons. Look at their images of Christ.
On Wednesday 18th May Key Stage 2 children were entertained by the author Debi Evans. She told the children about her dragon books and about her books based on her own rescue dog Rolo. The children were then able to ask her many questions about her own love of reading and writing and they were inspired to become great writers themselves.
