Hollywater School recently hosted an inspiring boccia event that brought smiles and excitement to all participants. Boccia, a precision ball sport similar to bocce, was a new experience for many of the students. 17 enthusiastic girls from our school embarked on an exciting journey to Oakmoor for a series of football matches against Langrish Primary School. The atmosphere was electric as the girls, donned in their vibrant team jerseys, their spirits high and hearts full of anticipation.

Upon arrival at Oakmoor, the girls were greeted by the lush green fields and the friendly faces of their opponents. The matches kicked off with a burst of energy, showcasing the incredible skills and teamwork of both teams. Each game was a testament to the hard work and dedication the girls had put into their training sessions.

The highlight of the day was the camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed by all the players. Despite the competitive nature of the matches, there was a strong sense of mutual respect and encouragement. The girls from both schools cheered each other on, celebrated goals together, and shared moments of laughter and joy.

St Matthew's Church, Blackmoor, will be holding their annual Christmas Workshop on Saturday 14th December from 10am until 12pm.  It is a drop-in activity with crafts, refreshments and a Christmas story. No charge but donations are invited.  This is a lovely event for children to start their Christmas celebrations.

The children attended a badminton tournament at Eggars School was a thrilling showcase of young talent and sportsmanship. Children from various schools gathered to compete, demonstrating impressive skills and determination on the court.

Among the standout performances, one team from our school truly shone. Competing against three other formidable teams, they played with exceptional coordination and spirit. Their journey to victory was marked by intense matches, each player contributing significantly to the team's success.

Parents, coaches, and spectators were all proud of the children's achievements. The tournament not only highlighted their athletic abilities but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participants.
