Today Ash Class were exploring the woods to find natural materials that could be used as kindling on the main campfire. They tried green Birch wood, this smoked and singed the wood. However, when they tried dead ferns these caught fire well but burnt down quickly. The children enjoyed using different fire steels to light the cotton wool and worked together to try and maintain the main campfire. Another group of children decided to build a den with some very exciting features including a seesaw.
