Safeguarding Day
On Friday 26th February, St. Matthew's School celebrated Safeguarding Day.
Every year group took part in many activities all based around being safe. We thought about safety on the playground, e safety, stranger danger, keeping the school safe, who helps us and who we could talk to if we were worried about anything.
Classes all produced lots of different work such as poems, posters, rules for the playground and online and pictures. Check out our class pages to see some examples of what we have been up to. The work will also be displayed around school.
In the afternoon we shared all we had been thinking about and doing in a special sharing worship. Each class shared their own definition of what safeguarding is as well as some of their work. The children were all encouraged to go home and talk to their parents about being safe at home and school.
