Kola was the 2011 European finalist and was ranked No. 1 in 2013 for Great Britain. He made the qualifying distance for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Kola will be leading a sponsored fitness circuit with all pupils, and will follow-up with an assembly and a question and answer session. The aim of the event is to inspire the children to take up sport generally, but just as importantly to encourage them to discover and then pursue their passion in life.

If everyone raised a small amount this would quickly add up! Your child could also get a thank you prize if they manage to raise more money. The prizes are as follows:

• If they raise over £5 they will receive a blue Sports for Schools wrist band.
• If they raise over £15 they will additionally receive a red athlete signed wrist band.
• If they raise over £30 they will additionally receive a signed A4 poster of their athlete.

As the sponsorship form and online sponsorship page explain, much of the money that is raised will be used to buy sports equipment for the school, while also supporting the athlete programme. After the event your child will have one week to collect and bring back their sponsor money (the deadline will be Wednesday 3rd March).
