St. Matthew's ends the Spring Term with the Walk of Witness

Walk of Witness to end the Spring Term

The children, staff and parents of St. Matthew's have marked the end of the Spring Term with a moving Walk of Witness. To mark the solemn occasion of Good Friday, the House Captains in Year 6 lead the school, carrying the three crosses, in silence on a walk to the church. This was to replicate when Jesus carried his cross to his crusifixion. Along the journey, they listened to parts of the story, before stopping at the war memorial. Year 6 sung 'Lift your name on high', which the rest of the school joined in with. We ended with a prayer of reflection, before walking back to school. It was such a moving occasion and the St. Matthew's children did us proud.

We hope you all have a relaxing, restful and safe Easter break and we look forward to seeing you in the Summer Term.
