St. Matthew's invaded by book characters!
St. Matthew's celebrate World Book Day!
Thursday 2nd March is World Book Day and staff and children at st. Matthew's have dressed up as their favourite book character to celebrate. Staff have dressed up as characters from the stories they have been studying in class; Tiddler by Julia Donaldson, The Lorax by Dr Seuss and Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. The children were also given a £1 book token to spend in certain bookshops. We look forward to carrying on our celebrations tomorrow with a dance workshop from 'West End in Schools'.
