Rainbows 7.5.21

Rainbows had an exciting Forest School session today. The first group spotted deer and were fascinated by them. We also heard a Woodpecker and tried to locate it in the trees. After watching the wildlife, some of the children tried fire lighting. It is quite a tricky skill, and lots of the children persisted and managed to light the cotton wool independently. They were very proud of their achievements.
Some of the children chose to use the rope swing and ropes. They tested out different ways to travel along the rope. Other children were using role play to act out different stories that they had made up. It was lovely to see that everyone was engaged and motivated.
